Heart Attack by Demi Lovato (2013 Song)

Dear Entertainment Diary,

SO, week/s ago, I found the YouTube teaser, uploaded by therealdemilovato, of her latest single Heart Attack! It was actually set for release on March 4, 2013, but I was surprised that her new song was released on her YouTube account and on Itunes, as well. Good thing I visited her YouTube account!

Finally, it's been so long since I last heard a song from this talented girl with a majestically God-given voice! This is the first single from her 4th upcoming album which is going to be released this 2013!

The song is simply about fighting falling in love. That's it. Hiding the feelings about a boy who's making her act like a real girl and stuff, but she didn't just want to show, putting her defenses up!

It's not the usual Demi Lovato sound as it showcases more rock sounds and a more combination of heavy drumbeats and synths with dashes of guitar strumming and violins in the background and some auto-tune in her very high ranging powerful voice! More edgier, and more I liky-er!

Yes, she might be vulnerable and a fool for love but her vocal and musical talents disagree! She's just flawless and her voice is unstoppable.

Can't wait for the music video! Demi, ILY, Please Love Me Back!

Lyrics:

Puttin’ my defences up
‘Cause I don’t wanna fall in love
If I ever did that
I think I’d have a heart attack

Never put my love out on the line
Never said yes to the right guy
Never had trouble getting what I want
But when it comes to you, I’m never good enough
When I don’t care
I can play ‘em like a Ken doll
Won’t wash my hair
Then make 'em bounce like a basketball

But you make me wanna act like a girl
Paint my nails and wear high heels
Yeah, it’s you, make me so nervous
Then I just can’t hold your hand

You make me glow, but I cover up
Won’t let it show, so I’m
Puttin’ my defences up
Cause I don’t wanna fall in love
If I ever did that
I think I’d have a heart attack (x3)

Never break a sweat for the other guys
When you come around, I get paralyzed
And everytime I try to be myself
It comes out wrong like a cry for help
It’s just not fair
Pain’s more trouble than it all is worth
I gasp for air
It feels so good, but you know it hurts

But you make me wanna act like a girl
Paint my nails and wear perfume
For you, make me so nervous
Then I just can’t hold your hand

You make me glow, but I cover up
Won’t let it show, so I’m
Puttin’ my defences up
Cause I don’t wanna fall in love
If I ever did that
I think I’d have a heart attack (x3)

The feelings I lost in my love
They’re burning, I’m not giving up
And there’s no one else to blame
So instead I’ll take off in a run
I’m playing too close to the sun
And I’m burst into glow

You make me glow, but I cover up
Won’t let it show, so I’m
Puttin’ my defences up
‘Cause I don’t wanna fall in love
If I ever did that
I think I’d have a heart attack (x5)

Almost Home by Mariah Carey - 2013 Song

Dear Entertainment Diary,

So I was just looking in the web and I've come across to Mariah's new song from her soundcloud, Almost Home, which is a song from one of the upcoming Disney Films, Oz The Great and Powerful.

A lot have been saying, especially the fans, positive things! Yes... We miss her powerful vocals and this is like her comeback song from a while and I, myself, love it, as well!

I've got to say that this is not like the Disney Classic songs like Can't You Feel The Love Tonight, Go The Distance, A Whole New World, and songs by the Disney Princesses like Part of Your World, Beauty and the Beast, Reflection, and Colors of the Wind because of using instruments such synths and heavy drumbeats, and especially for being RNB-ish. But even though, the song still finds a place as a Disney soundtrack like her other song with the Legendary Whitney Houston, When You Believe.

Mariah still got 'em powerful vocals baby! Even in the beginning, those heavy breathy low whispers just gave us listeners the chills!

So here it is, Almost Home from Mariah's Soundcloud page.

The ABCs of Death (2013 Film)

Dear Entertainment Diary,

I may probably haven't said nor talked about it here but truth be told, I'm a really sucker when it comes to horror anthology. Especially if it's an Asian horror anthology film, name it and I will def watch it. It all began in Thailand's 4Phia (Phobia) and 5Prang (Phobia 2) and I just become so addictive to it. I watch Three... Extremes and I loved it as well. I haven't watched Three. I have Rampo Noir on my cellphone since July last year and I haven't watched it yet.

So when I heard/read about The ABCs of Death, I just can't wait to watch it. I even put it in this blog's corner, Upcoming/Released Films list in which I really wanted to see, and finally, yesterday night, I saw it with my brother and aunt!

I was actually psyched up when I knew about this film. Knowing that it contains 26 shorts done by 26 or more directors (because some segments were done by two), the idea just shot me in the head and brought me to heaven! So far, I have only watched anthologies with  approx 5 segments/stories and those were 5Prang and Cinco. In short, this is the first time I heard about the idea of putting 26 stories in 1 film. I found it weird and impossible but they did it!
The ABCs of Death Trailer

And now, let me get to the point. I was actually disappointed in this film. Why? Maybe I expected too much but it didn't satisfy on what I was asking/expecting for. Yes, it's true that there are shorts in here that are worth watching, some even horrified me, some are very enjoyable, but mostly sere plain stupid and stuff. Some contain very stupid humor and tasteless horror inartistic stories. And also, I hope that the creators gave a theme, one theme, to tie all the 26 shorts up. That would be great, right?

The ABCs of Death is a film about 26 shorts, each title begins with the letter of the alphabet, from A-Z, duh. The stories were rated from very well done to plain "I did this movie because I was bored and nothing to do." The 26 stories are all about 26 ways to die. Meaning, if you wanna die, learn from these.

Without further ado, here are the 26 short stories: (the images contains nudity/graphic violence. 18+)

A is for Apocalypse - Director: Nacho Vigalondo. This is the first segment who welcomed the viewers with goriness. It's about a couple who are facing the end of the world together. SIGH, everlasting love. Or is it? In this segment, the girl tried to kill her husband by poisoning him for many months, killing him  with the use of a knife, boiling water, and stroking him with the pan she used for boiling the water. And guess what? The guy still breathes after all that! All I know is that they died together in the end. Well, I'm not sure because it wasn't shown. I've got to say, I like this segment.

B is for Bigfoot - Director: Adrian Garcia Bogliano. The first segment that contained nudity. It's about a kinky couple who scared the guy's little girl cousin so she can go to bed and they can sex it up in the window! Gosh, really? A made up story became real. Whoopie.

C is for Cycle - Director: Ernesto Diaz Espinoza. A senseless crap about an event occurring to a guy's life on repeat. I guess, he is just stuck in that same senseless happening. I wonder where his wife went?

D is for Dogfight - Director: Marcel Sarmiento. A segment about a man fighting a dog. Yep. I guess it's entertaining even when it was played in slow mo and no dialog even. I just hope it the story was explained if the guy really was the lost dog for he was wearing a dog tag with the lost dog's name.

E is for Exterminate - Director: Angela Bettis. Don't underestimate the bugs cause they can lay their eggs inside your body.

F is for Fart - Director: Noburo Iguchi. One of the most silliest segments. I may not know if someone can really die becasue of farts but this short is really silly in all levels. I know it has comedy genre written all over it but... Ugh... I don't know. It just failed to amuse me especially the part where the 2 girls lick each other's tongue and farted. I actually didn't know the  protagonist was dreaming?

G is for Gravity - Director: Andrew Traucki. HAHA. This actually scared the hell out of me! No, I was kidding. Why didn't they just put a man stating a fact that a person can drown in the sea/beach instead of wasting money on this man with a camera in his head, surfing, and was never even seen? Brutally senseless.

H is for Hydro-Electric Diffusion. Director: Thomas Cappelen Malling. About a pilot dog watching a lady dog dancing in front of him. This is actually weird in all levels. Yeah, amusing, but, c'mon. I hope that they explained the reason why that machine and the lady dog  kill their customers without even paying the bill.

I is for Ingrown - Director: Jorge Michel Grau. I know that this short has subtitle but I didn't really understand the whole point. All I know is that the guy injected something in the girl, tied up in the bath tub, that made her itch, bleed, and vomit until she died.

J is for Jidal-geki - Director: Yudai Yamaguchi.Another senseless crap from Japan. I am a fan of Japanese horrors but really, now I'm doubting. About samurai and some Japanese guy being decapitated.

K is for Klutz - Director: Anders Morgenthaler. An animated short about an alive shit from a girl inside the toilet. The drawing is cute. Funny, but the idea of getting killed by your own shit by getting inside your body through your anus is ridiculous.Well, a shit being alive is ridiculous, but I like this thaaaang!

L s for Libido - Director: Timo Tjahjanto. About a jack off contest. I don't know if this is from japan or Thailand, but this is kind of disturbing and cruelly over the top. Poor guys.

M is for Miscarriage - Director: Ti West. Read the title and watch this short and you will say huh? I thought Miscarriage is an accident? But here, I think the girl s happy it happened and I think she did it on purpose. Poor baby. I just didn't like the story and it's just plainly short. All  saw is a girl looking for a plunger and then the camera focused on the toilet.

N is for Nuptials - Director: Banjong Pisanthanakun. I've got to praise Thailand for this! This s a story about a proposal gone wrong because of a very talkative parrot who said exactly all what it heard! And by exactly, I mean accurate.

O is for Orgasm - Director: Bruno Forzani. I'm impressed with the effects, bubbles, and stuff but am I watching porn or what?

P is for Pressure - Director: Simon Rumley. Ok, the theme is great. About a mother wanted to give her daughter a bike for her birthday even if it means selling her own body and killing kittens!!! I mean, why those poor little kittens must suffer? I like this story for being realistic but the fact that one must kill an animal for money is just plain wrong.

Q is for Quack - Director: Adam Wingard. Now this is kind of cute. About two guys making a short film about killing a duck (quail?) to be submitted for The ABCs of Death and t turns out that they submitted their own death. And your guess is right, the duck LIVES!

R is for Removed - Director: Srdjan Spasojevic. This has got to be one of the yuckiest short in the film but one of the greatest as well. I actually didn't get the story quite well but I just love how psychologically challenging this story is. It's not like most of the shorts here where the theme/ideas are very obviously seen.

S is for Speed - Director: Jake West. Well, kinda like it as well but I didn't actually focused too. Actually, starting from here, I got bored of watching. Oh, and I forgot to tell you, I was the only one left watching. My aunt and brother left me. LOL. I just didn't like how the actors acted here

T is for Toilet - Director: Lee Hardcastle. Well, a stop animation using clay that contains toilet humor. Literally. It's about a young boy who is very afraid on using the toilet on his own and getting killed by the toilet he is afraid of. I think this is cute, as well. Worth watching.

U is for Unearthed - Director: Ben Wheatley. A found footage kind of theme involving a zombie or a vampire? I don't know. I just know my head hurts for it's shakiness shot in the monster's point of view.

V is for Vagitus - Director: Kaare Andrews. A sci-fi short about a cry of the new born. It's actually pretty interesting but I was lost during the middle. It also contains some failed corny humors but as I said, interesting.

W is for WTF?! - Director: Jon Schnepp. Just watch it and you'll know why WTF?! (What the Fuck?!) was the title of this short. I like to ask, WHY THE FUCK?!

X is for XXL - Director: Xavier Gens. One of the stand outs in the film and probably has the most sensible, touching, and meaningful theme. It's about a fat lady getting bullied by the people who see her so when she got home, she decided to skin herself off and remove the fats in her body. In the end, she's kind of thin, full of blood, and is gonna die. To all those who can't see your inner beauty, just be yourself and look deeper.

Y is for Youngbuck - Director: Jason Eisener. About a crazy pedophile janitor. Yeah, disturbing as it is, I think this still has a great story behind it especially the time when he got what he deserves!

Z is for Zetsumetsu - Director: Yoshihiro Nishimura. OK. Skip this one up. All I know is that this is plainly stupid, no story, no humor, no nothing. I dont even know if Japanese were angry to the Americans?

To sum it all up, out of 26 short stories, there were only few who really stood out. C is for Cycle probably gain some sense if it got more time cause the idea is there, no questions. It just that it lacks some explanation and some more scenes being recycled.

R is for removed could have been my typical type of movie if only some producers would pick it up and turn it into a real full length film! N is for Nuptials is just awesome when it comes to perfectly showing and giving us complete details about the story as well as A is for Apocalypse.

Although we don't have the same point of view on how we see and view things and how we like, watch this film with your own risk and tell me if it wasted your time. Well, I'm not mad but I'm still thankful I watched this film for it contains some good shorts and I just hope some would pick the great shorts up and make it full length films!

So Undercover (2012 Film)

Your balls are amazing... I mean, Amaze-balls.

Dear Entertainment Diary,

Ok. I'm just so addictive on how the white girls, or should I say, like, white thrash speak! Like, OMFG, I just finished watching one of the funniest and movies like my eyes have ever seen, like, ever!

Ok, enough with that. So, kidding aside, I just watched So Undercover! Cheers! Basically, I have a copy of this movie since January 23, 2013, and I downloaded it along with The Life of Pi, another epic movie that I haven't watched yet. I just know it's epic, ok?

A little background on why did I pick 1 a.m for watching this film. Well, it's just that yesterday I processed something so I needed to wake up early, in which I did, and when I got home, I just fell asleep the whole afternoon until it was dark already. And now, since I can't sleep yet, I took the opportunity to watch it and so I can finally add it here in my E.D. (Entertainment Diary).

PLOT:
Molly Morris is a private investigator who chose to leave high school to work with her father, Sam, a former police officer. Together, their days are filled with busting cheating spouses and taking down petty thieves. However, her life unexpectedly changes when she is approached by FBI Agent Armon to go undercover in the one place they're unable to infiltrate, and a world she knows nothing about...College.

Since the film is still a little fresh in my mind, I think spoilers are coming out from my mouth! SORRY!!!

Based on the plot above, from Wikipedia, Molly, played by Miley Cyrus, is a teen P.I. always getting hired and teaming up with her dad to investigate about cheating husbands! Her father, played by Mike O'Malley, yep, Kurt's dad on glee,  was a former police officer and got fired because of being addicted to gambling!

In one of her investigations, a guy named Armon interrupted and talked to her, hiring her to join the F.B.I. who s currently investigating a very serious syndicate and to be able to save the syndicate's daughter, Alex Patrone, played by Lauren Mcknight!

They changed a tomboy Molly, dressed and trained her up to be like a real college girl, named Brook. Equipped with her brand new high techie stuff, new car, a glittery cellphone, and a bat phone, she goes into college, pretending to be a Kappa Kappa Zeta something like sisterhood.

There she met the queen bee Sasha and her 3 minions, Cotton, Taylor, and Hunter. Her room mate is Becky, a finance major played by Kelly Osborne. Fast Forward, she did everything she can to track who wanted to kill Alex and protected her, even when it means setting a fire in the curtain! Well, accidentally, that is.

There she faced diff kinds of problems like being the most popular in their sisterhood. Well, because she just wanted to fit in, that is. When she became the most popular sister, Sasha st her up and planted the stolen stuff in her room. The girls all hated her and accused her of being a klepto. Of course, a girls like her doesn't give up easily so she investigated Sasha's background  and she knew something about her past, in which I won't say! HAHAHA!

As the film goes by, a guy names Nicolas, played by Josh Bowman, liked her and actually asked her out but she refused, saying that she wasn't there to date but to protect Alex but Armon commanded her to date him, which she enjoyed in the process.

Another fast forward, Brook now thought that she knows everything. That Nicolas is really a bad guy named Patrick hired by the syndicate and she just cannot believe it. Then she went to her professor's river house and there she knew that Professor Talloway really is an F.B.I. agent and that Armon is the bad guy, setting her up to involuntarily work for him. This now made everything clear and Molly, the F.B.I.'s, her Sorority Sisters, and her father, well, let's include Nicolas, as well, devised a plan to capture Armon!

Ok, so technically, I liked the film, like a lot! Totes! Why? For knowing some of the words that white thrashes use. For making me laugh especially every time when Cotton opens her mouth and talk. For knowing that Miley really can do actions scenes! And there are many more to mention.

The only flaw that I didn't like about the movie is how it becomes predictable in the middle of the film. The moment where Armon gave the fake name of Nicolas to Molly is the time when I knew who real culprit is. but even though, the film just made a comeback by adding some Cotton's stupidity. Yeah, it's obvious that I like Cotton's character!

I read on wiki that critics gave negative reviews but the audience received it warmly. All I can say  is I'm part of an audience and I like the film!

Miley also said in an interview that she hates the release date of the film. Yeah, I think that this film was filmed before LOL? I'm also asking why did it take so long to release this? She hates the date of release because she has changed a lot, beginning from her looks, attitude, and all, but I don't care! I just love every inch of her no matter what! This is a very enjoyable film to watch. I was actually going to watch The ABC's of Death but my brother bailed on me and  can't watch a horror scene alone! I used to, but now I don;t want to. LOL!

Cast: (from wiki)
Miley Cyrus as Molly Morris/Brook Stonebridge
Jeremy Piven as Armon Ranford
Mike O'Malley as Sam Morris
Lauren McKnight as Alex Patrone
Josh Bowman as Nicholas Dexter
Kelly Osbourne as Becky Slotsky
Eloise Mumford as Sasha Stolezinsky
Megan Park as Cotton Roberts
Morgan Calhoun as Hunter Crawford
Alexis Knapp as Taylor Jaffe
Autumn Reeser as Bizzy
Matthew Settle as Professor Talloway

Let's support Miley's upcoming album ya'll!

Oh, i forgot to mention that one of my fave parts was when she rode the motorcycle while wearing a dress! Yep... those legs were open, baby! That was so cool!

Red - Karaoke Album by Taylor Swift

Dear Entertainment,

Just wanna say that I finally have a copy of this brilliant karaoke album by Taylor Swift and now it's official that I can sing the songs from her latest album, Red. This is actually one of the reasons that I like about Taylor. She always releases karaoke albums after releasing her worldwide hit albums!

Like the 3 previous karaoke albums she released in the past: Taylor Swift, Fearless, and Speak Now, Red also contains original instrumental track recordings used by Taylor Swift with background voices! Awesome, right? Fans, including me, can finally replace Taylor's voice and made a record their own! Well, there's copyright and all but just use disclaimer and stuff.

I'm gonna make this post straight and quick. This karaoke album contains all the 16 instrumental tracks from the Red Standard Edition album. It is currently circulating all over the web for a free download for promotional purposes only (that's what I read) so if you enjoy listening and singing with it, go buy and support the album! :)

One Way Or Another - One Direction Song Leaked!

Dear Entertainment Diary,

Apparently, as the post's title stated, the newest single of the famous boyband , "One Direction,  which they recorded for UK Comic Relief Charity has leaked online yesterday and the members of the band were so sad that it had happened.

The song is a song by the band, Blondie, and has appeared on numerous films such as Coyote Ugly, Mean Girls, Monte Carlo, So Undercover, and many more.

It was originally set for a February 18 release but these certain people may not have enough patience and leaked it online. It happens every time in the industry.

Louis Tomlinson wrote on twitter:

“I hear the charity single has been leaked. Very sad to see. Don't forget together we are trying to raise money for Comic Relief.”
Undoubtedly, he's in dismay for what had happened especially when they worked they butt off to earn money for charity but who's to blame?

And now, the version leaked on YouTube has been taken of by the uploader but I'm pretty sure that people who already heard it hurriedly converted it to mp3 and downloaded a copy for themselves. Some are even circulating in the internet!

Anyhow, I just hope they still gather lots or tons of money for it is in the first place for charity. Lusten to a very LOW VERSION of the song here:

Daniel Padilla - Nasa Iyo Na Ang Lahat Official Music Video

Dear Entertainment Diary,

It's been a long time since my last post and it's because I'm catching up with the TV series that were already done airing like "I Miss You (Korean Drama)" and "American Horror Story: Asylum". I am catching up because as I said in one of my previous post, MY LAPTOP WAS BROKEN, and I still have 2 episodes for I Miss You and 3 for AHS.

Moving on... I was watching MYX when they played one of the songs that is included in "Himig Handog P-pop Love Songs 2013" where all the songs were written and composed by 12 Filipino writers/finalists. The song that I saw is written and composed by Jungee Marcelo, sung/interpreted by one of the hottest young heart-throb Daniel Padilla, and was produced by Ateneo de Manila University.

For me, the song is a kind of a good song to listen to especially for the girls out there. We all know there are a lot of you who are being "kilig" with Daniel but move over because the girl of his eyes also appeared in this video in the end, Kathryn Bernardo. The meaning of the song can easily understand by the people who listen to it. The only thing I didn't like about this song is it's kind of repetitive but aside from that, this song is too cute to resist. The music video is cute, as well. Very youthful and obviously aiming for girls who love Daniel, and perhaps, the teen fans of Kathniel.
