12 Suicidal Teens (2019 Japanese Film)

Dear Entertainment Diary,

I’m back, and this time I have watched a Japanese Film that is very worth watching for! It’s been so long that I cannot remember the last time a film so great had given me goosebumps. Guess what? This film gave it to me! It was so satisfying I even cried at the last part.

This film gave so many chills and it really gave us such a good outlook in life. It is a film about teens who wanted to do a group suicide because of the problems/burdens they each carry inside. Burdens such as diseases/incurable sicknesses, being bullied, experiencing the loss of loved ones, being controlled or being hated by people surrounding you, and many more. Each character possessed uniqueness of their own and as the story progresses, they understand one another. They understood what it’s like to be alive, in spite if the challenges they are currently facing.

We all know that depression is a very hard thing to carry on our lives. We cannot just throw it away just because we want to. We cannot just think positively all the time although it is the most common thing that people around us give as a piece of advice. It is easier to be said than done. We may never know what a person is feeling unless we are in that same situation, heck, we may never know if we will feel the same way as others. Will it be a lot more depressing, or a little less?

I am currently in the state where I’m depressed as f*ck. I overthink things. Well, Who knew, one of these days, a storm will go in my way and I am hoping that I will surpass it. Hopefully, that day would not come. People around me tend to think that I have no problems, financially or mentally. If only they knew what I am feeling inside but I can’t share it to anyone. I am being hated by some, which I think now is normal, but I don’t think I have to change anything about me.

Back to the film, this film just gave me hope. Each character is very relatable and I can see myself in each one of them. I am so glad that Warner Bros. distributed/produced this movie as it was perfect in my eyes. The acting, the cinematography, the storyline, no loop holes. It is a great adaptation of a novel I have never read. It just gave me hope and and I am somehow gained some confidence that I may surpass everything at the right time.

To the cast and staff of this wonderful film, Kudos to you. I actually thought this is going to be a horror/slasher film as I have read it’s plot that there is a murdered body found in the assembly room and they want to figure out who the murderer among them is as they open up to one another the reason they wanted to die, but I was wrong. I shouldn’t have judged it. 🧐🥺😜

So again, I recommend you to watch this film as it will bring joy, hope, and love into your life, especially if you are experiencing depression right now, as I am. Let’s. Live. Long. No. Matter. What.  😀

Regards,

BEN

Re:Zero Starting Life in Another World (2016 anime)

Dear Entertainment Diary,

How are you? Well, gee, I’m sick. Just caught a virus during the holidays but I’m fine now. Merry Christmas and Happy New Year, by the way.  This sickness made me not to go to work for three days so during my boredom, I started to find an anime on Netflix and this Re:Zero caught my attention. Who wouldn’t be intrigued with such an opening scene like Future Diary and Hugurashi No Naku Koro Ni. It opened up with someone being killed. Lol

It’s a story of a boy who got sucked in on a game (well, there are saved points so go figure...) and dies over and over again until he figures out how to correctly survive the arc he is currently in while saving all the characters (not letting them die, duh!) especially Emilia, the girl he fell in love with.

All I can say is that this anime is very stressful to watch but you might don’t want to turn your tv off (well, phone in my case) because you are intrigued and excited as to what will happen next. Some scenes were brutal, but on to the next life, you will see that those who fought each other may be infatuated to the other one. It’s just that there are some lose strings or just very wrongfully executed plots and twists but overall, I loved it. It’s just that, of course, like any other animes, you will be wanting more after the final episode of Season 1. But hey, earlier this year, the trailer for Season 2 is out and hell yeah, it’s just a confirmation that Season 2 is coming! And remember, if Rem is dead, There would be a riot.

There are many lovable characters in this series/anime/LN and I just don’t want them to die. It just hurts my feelings, you know.

So till next time 😘

Best regards,

BEN

Escape Room (2019 Film)

Source: wikipedia.com

Dear Entertainment Diary,

How are youuuuu? I missed blogging, really, I missed it! Been busy for a very long time but here I am again, currently a Netflix subscriber and can’t even easily decide what movies or shows to choose.

Escape Room. Hmmn, before I watched it on Netflix, I posted a screenshot of it on facebook and asked my friends if it is any good or not. Guess what? No one even replied. Lol

Well, apparently, for me, this film kind of sucks in terms of acting (not that I am good at it) but there are just some scenes where I can’t even connect to those certain parts of the film. Although, the story is kind of good. Not that new but a very fresh take to those thrilling films and stuff I want to watch. A little less like SAW FILMS which are very gruesomely and extremely gross but story wise, I enjoyed it. Very fast paced but lacks of more details.

The film is consisting of characters we hated at the beginning but instantly grew with us as the film progresses where I got too emeotionally attached (Amanda and Mr. Mike) :(. The twist ain’t something new and Kind of expectable but I’m waiting for this film’s sequel. Hopefully, they will give us a lot of scenes which will maie is think what if’s after watching it. Go Zoey and Ben ❤️❤️❤️

Regards,

Ben

Attack On Titan - Live Action (2015 Japanese Film)

Dear Entertainment Diary,

I know many of us are great fans of the hit anime Shingeki No Kyojin/ Attack on Titans. Well, I've watched it couple of years back and I've got to say it kicked ass even though it's not yet finished and let us hanging in the brink of desperation to know what comes next after Annie hid in her crystal shell like thingy. (read the manga, ok?)

In this case, Attack On Titan (live-Action) has its own definition. Meaning, it did not remain true to the manga/anime, but is kind of good in its own way,

Lots and lost of scenes and background stories were very crucially different vs the manga/anime but I've got to say, it's still watchable. It's still good since the action scenes and effects were kind of good (not that good, but still). The faces of the titans were still annoying just like in the anime. Jean is still annoying. Sasha still likes potatoes. Armin is not blonde anymore. Hans is still funny,

I'm just looking for some major characters like Levi, who, just to let you know, is my 2nd favorite character off the anime/manga! I mean, where the heck is he? And who the hell is Shikishima in the anime/manga? The movie is good, but as one of the many fans of the anime/manga, I'm still confused what happened to some characters and why the hell are there many new characters?

Again, it would be better if they stick to the storyline of the anime/manga but, the film doesn't stink because of that, It's still good. It's still watchable. It's still doesn't give us LEVI!!!

Basically, there is just one thing the anime and this movie have in common.
THEY BOTH DID NOT FINISH THE STORY AND LEFT US HANGING IN THE BRINK OF DESPERATION! This film is only the first part. The 2nd part will be released on September and I just can't wait to watch it now that Eren bacame a Titan. OOOPPPSSS, SPOILER ALERT.

It Follows (2015 US Film)

Dear Entertainment Diary,

So last night, alone in my room, I've watched the film hailed as the Horror Movie of The Year (so far), It Follows, or should I call it "I'll transfer this curse to you so I can live a peaceful life but nahhhh",

Over all, I was impressed of the acting. I kind of like the story but the ending, not so much. I felt that it should not end like that. What happened to the FOLLOWer? Then I thought, I'll just wait for the sequel. I hope there is.

The film tells a story of a girl being followed by this ghost who can shape shift ever since she had sex with this lame ole guy with a fake name and fake address she met somewhere with the intention of transferring the curse to her, which is why this FOLLOWer started following her. Sounds complicated? No?

To make it more complicated, Jay, the protagonist, first transferred it to Greg, one of her friends, but he still did not believe everything she said about the FOLLOWer so he got killed instantly after it shape shifted into his mom.

She the transferred it to Paul, another friend, her first kiss, who also happened to kiss her little sister, at the end of the film. I don't know for what reason since she can still see it although it will not chase after her. SO it will chase her friend, so I guess he transferred it to some h*e and they ended up being a couple. YOU SEE? LET'S HAVE S*X.

The story is kind of interesting since the theme where you can transfer a curse thru sexual intercourse is kind of original to me. My interpretation of this film is to don't have sex if you don't the person, yet. It can prevent you on seeing ghosts! :)

Probably this film is telling us about STD.

One question in my mind is why does the FOLLOWer have to be nude and all? ;/

Go watch the film, it's worth watching!

Ao haru Ride / Blue Spring Ride (2014 Anime)

Dear Entertainment Diary,

I'm back! And this time, to write about a good anime with so many themes and lessons to learn and teach our heart which can be used in our daily lives,

So, it's title is Ao Haru Ride / Blue Spring Ride in English, which is all about love, friendship, family, and friends. It shows so many different characters and emotions, and shows some events that can really happen to someone.

It merely tells about the lost relationship between two of the five protagonists of the series, Futaba Yoshioka and Kou Mabuchi. They actually mutually felt love for each other during middle school but suddenly, Kou just left without saying any goodbye to Yoshioka.

They met again in high school, but Kou already changed everything about him, including his last name. Yoshioka, who is a cute girl, also changed herself to annoy guys around her since she will be again disliked by the jealous girls in her class.

As I said earlier, it's also about friendship, family, and a whole lot of rides. Us all can relate on each episodes. On how hard we have to keep our feelings to our crush. On how we and our friends have the same crush. On how it is so hard to study. On how hard to lose one parent. And most especially, on how it is so FUN to have friends beside you.

I'm telling you, this anime is a one fun ride. It's only 12 episodes and I hate its shortness but what the f, I still enjoyed it.

P.S. It already has its live action film adaptation and I have a copy of it. I just don't know when to watch it, yet. :)

Breathe In. Breathe Out. ( 2015 Hilary Duff Album)

Dear Entertainment Diary,

It's been so long since I've last posted. Sorry guys, got so busy with my work.

Anyways, right now, I've been busy, also, in listening to Hilary's latest Album, Breathe In. Breathe Out, which was released last June and God, the tracks make my heart dance!

Tattoo (co written by a genius named Ed Sheeran) and Rebel Hearts were the ones that got my attention so bad, I always put it on repeat!
Hilary's voice got a lil bigger but I can still hear the beauty in her voice that got my insides a lil tingly in a positive way.

Those guitar sounds plus them beats make this album perfect to hear/listen to while riding on the way to and back from work!

Picture This got those country twang, as well, while the title track Breathe In. Breathe Out, reminds me of Out of the Woods by Taylor Swift, although they may still have their differences.

One In A million and Confetti are two songs off the album that I wanna dance to. One in A, one in a, one in a... HAHA

Sparks and Night Like This (ft Kendall Schmidt) make me feel and think about dating the one I love!

See, most songs in this album gives me different types of emotions, makes me happy, kind of Sad (in a positive way?) and make me feel happy especially now that Hil is BACK!!

Go listen to the full album now, you GUYS!
