Attack On Titan - Live Action (2015 Japanese Film)

Dear Entertainment Diary,

I know many of us are great fans of the hit anime Shingeki No Kyojin/ Attack on Titans. Well, I've watched it couple of years back and I've got to say it kicked ass even though it's not yet finished and let us hanging in the brink of desperation to know what comes next after Annie hid in her crystal shell like thingy. (read the manga, ok?)

In this case, Attack On Titan (live-Action) has its own definition. Meaning, it did not remain true to the manga/anime, but is kind of good in its own way,

Lots and lost of scenes and background stories were very crucially different vs the manga/anime but I've got to say, it's still watchable. It's still good since the action scenes and effects were kind of good (not that good, but still). The faces of the titans were still annoying just like in the anime. Jean is still annoying. Sasha still likes potatoes. Armin is not blonde anymore. Hans is still funny,

I'm just looking for some major characters like Levi, who, just to let you know, is my 2nd favorite character off the anime/manga! I mean, where the heck is he? And who the hell is Shikishima in the anime/manga? The movie is good, but as one of the many fans of the anime/manga, I'm still confused what happened to some characters and why the hell are there many new characters?

Again, it would be better if they stick to the storyline of the anime/manga but, the film doesn't stink because of that, It's still good. It's still watchable. It's still doesn't give us LEVI!!!

Basically, there is just one thing the anime and this movie have in common.
THEY BOTH DID NOT FINISH THE STORY AND LEFT US HANGING IN THE BRINK OF DESPERATION! This film is only the first part. The 2nd part will be released on September and I just can't wait to watch it now that Eren bacame a Titan. OOOPPPSSS, SPOILER ALERT.

It Follows (2015 US Film)

Dear Entertainment Diary,

So last night, alone in my room, I've watched the film hailed as the Horror Movie of The Year (so far), It Follows, or should I call it "I'll transfer this curse to you so I can live a peaceful life but nahhhh",

Over all, I was impressed of the acting. I kind of like the story but the ending, not so much. I felt that it should not end like that. What happened to the FOLLOWer? Then I thought, I'll just wait for the sequel. I hope there is.

The film tells a story of a girl being followed by this ghost who can shape shift ever since she had sex with this lame ole guy with a fake name and fake address she met somewhere with the intention of transferring the curse to her, which is why this FOLLOWer started following her. Sounds complicated? No?

To make it more complicated, Jay, the protagonist, first transferred it to Greg, one of her friends, but he still did not believe everything she said about the FOLLOWer so he got killed instantly after it shape shifted into his mom.

She the transferred it to Paul, another friend, her first kiss, who also happened to kiss her little sister, at the end of the film. I don't know for what reason since she can still see it although it will not chase after her. SO it will chase her friend, so I guess he transferred it to some h*e and they ended up being a couple. YOU SEE? LET'S HAVE S*X.

The story is kind of interesting since the theme where you can transfer a curse thru sexual intercourse is kind of original to me. My interpretation of this film is to don't have sex if you don't the person, yet. It can prevent you on seeing ghosts! :)

Probably this film is telling us about STD.

One question in my mind is why does the FOLLOWer have to be nude and all? ;/

Go watch the film, it's worth watching!

Ao haru Ride / Blue Spring Ride (2014 Anime)

Dear Entertainment Diary,

I'm back! And this time, to write about a good anime with so many themes and lessons to learn and teach our heart which can be used in our daily lives,

So, it's title is Ao Haru Ride / Blue Spring Ride in English, which is all about love, friendship, family, and friends. It shows so many different characters and emotions, and shows some events that can really happen to someone.

It merely tells about the lost relationship between two of the five protagonists of the series, Futaba Yoshioka and Kou Mabuchi. They actually mutually felt love for each other during middle school but suddenly, Kou just left without saying any goodbye to Yoshioka.

They met again in high school, but Kou already changed everything about him, including his last name. Yoshioka, who is a cute girl, also changed herself to annoy guys around her since she will be again disliked by the jealous girls in her class.

As I said earlier, it's also about friendship, family, and a whole lot of rides. Us all can relate on each episodes. On how hard we have to keep our feelings to our crush. On how we and our friends have the same crush. On how it is so hard to study. On how hard to lose one parent. And most especially, on how it is so FUN to have friends beside you.

I'm telling you, this anime is a one fun ride. It's only 12 episodes and I hate its shortness but what the f, I still enjoyed it.

P.S. It already has its live action film adaptation and I have a copy of it. I just don't know when to watch it, yet. :)

Breathe In. Breathe Out. ( 2015 Hilary Duff Album)

Dear Entertainment Diary,

It's been so long since I've last posted. Sorry guys, got so busy with my work.

Anyways, right now, I've been busy, also, in listening to Hilary's latest Album, Breathe In. Breathe Out, which was released last June and God, the tracks make my heart dance!

Tattoo (co written by a genius named Ed Sheeran) and Rebel Hearts were the ones that got my attention so bad, I always put it on repeat!
Hilary's voice got a lil bigger but I can still hear the beauty in her voice that got my insides a lil tingly in a positive way.

Those guitar sounds plus them beats make this album perfect to hear/listen to while riding on the way to and back from work!

Picture This got those country twang, as well, while the title track Breathe In. Breathe Out, reminds me of Out of the Woods by Taylor Swift, although they may still have their differences.

One In A million and Confetti are two songs off the album that I wanna dance to. One in A, one in a, one in a... HAHA

Sparks and Night Like This (ft Kendall Schmidt) make me feel and think about dating the one I love!

See, most songs in this album gives me different types of emotions, makes me happy, kind of Sad (in a positive way?) and make me feel happy especially now that Hil is BACK!!

Go listen to the full album now, you GUYS!

The Theory of Everything (2014 Film)

There should be no boundaries to human endeavor. We are all different. However bad life may seem, there is always something you can do, and succeed at. While there's life, there is hope.
- Stephen Hawkings

Dear Entertainment Diary,

How should I start this post? Hmmm.

Everything has an end. Even a strong love that started fiery, it could end, because of so many unexpected circumstances rotating in our universe. Probably also, because of destiny. That is, if you believe in it.

So... even before Eddie Redmayne won an Oscar, I wanna watch this movie. Why? Nothing. I was just browsing in the internet that time and the title "The Theory of Everything" caught my attention although I did not read its plot nor any details about it.

For me, this is probably one of the best films ever made. The acting is superb, more especially, in Redmayne's part. He won't get an award if he did not play his part very well, and I am telling you, I still think that he has Motor Neurone Disease.

To tell you honestly, I thought it was a chik-flick film at first, but as we watched it, I found out that it is, in fact, a biographical film about the life, personal and romantic, and success of the main character, Stephen Hawkings. It is also about how her wife, Jane Wilde Hawkings, struggle while with him because of his neuron baseball-related disease. (BOO!)

While watching it, there are numerous endings of the film that formed in my mind, well, more of questions. Will Stephen die? Will Jane commit adultery and find a new love. Will she give up on loving her wheelchair dependent husband? Will their family break apart? Is Timothy really Stephen's son or is he Jonathan's? I thought only two years? Many questions but I finally got my answers at the end of the film.

It is a great film with so many moral values we can learn from and it can also give us hope especially if we are enduring something so powerful in our lives. We can learn that if we really want to, we can achieve it no matter what if we just believe in ourselves and never let our faith to God (or in Science) fade.

It is a must see film about love, compassion, family, and Science, and at the end of the movie, it just proves its main point. EVERYTHING HAS ITS BEGINNING AND ITS END. For me, That's the Theory of Everything. HAHAHAHA

STYLE MV by Taylor Swift

Dear Entertainment Diary,

Shout out to all the Swifties out there because here is the latest addition to our collection of addiction by our queen, Taylor Swift! I knew that Style would be the next Single off from her latest Album, 1989, which includes so many awesome POP songs including Blank Space, Out of the Woods, All You Had To Do Was Stay, and many many more. It's allegedly written about one of her ex flames, Harry STYLEs.

I just so love this music video so much because aside from it being a dreamy one, there's this kind of dark theme that is haunting my inner feelings and I just want to be inside this music video. The effects, the acting, the slow motion scenes, everything just fall in to place!

So here's the music video, guys! Enjoy!

P.S., Blank Space Music Video is still better than this, tho. :P
